Author’s Note

One of the best parts about fanfiction is that it’s not real, and you can build whatever world you want.

And on that note, some characters are practically begging to be thrown into the same fanfic. Everything about them screams, “We would have insane chemistry” (for better or worse).

So, here are the crossover pairings that we, the fanfiction community, are absolutely owed right now.

1. Garrett Graham (Off Campus) & Ilya Rozanov (Heated Rivalry)

This dynamic would be too much in the best way possible.

Garrett Graham and Ilya Rozanov are both the aces of their teams and competitive to the next degree.

Naturally, this means they would be the greatest teammates ever and their dynamic would be very much a platonic bromance for the ages.

The banter here would also carry entire chapters on its own. They’d both constantly poke at each other and the sarcastic back and forth would be so much fun.

And you know what’s even better, the timelines of both their books means that Ilya is the captain of Boston when Garrett gets drafted (it’s meant to be).

They’d be key parts in building an NHL dynasty with Garrett winning Rookie of the Year and Ilya being captain of the team and possibly MVP (walk with me).

The hockey it-boys would be unstoppable if they lived in the same universe.

2. Mabel Mora (Only Murders in the Building) & Joe Goldberg (You)

This is less of a fun crossover and more of a psychological experiment.

Mabel has already survived enough murderous apartments to immediately clock that something is wrong with Joe. Whereas Joe would always be on high alert and realise that she is exactly the kind of person capable of ruining his perfect facade.

The tension would be incredible because both characters are constantly observing people. The only difference is that one of them is trying to solve murders and the other is trying to get away with them.

This would be an incredible thriller to keep us on the edge of our seats and if we add in a sprinkle of a possible enemies to lovers/slow burn situation – SCENES.

3. Aemond Targaryen (House of the Dragon) & Villanelle (Killing Eve)

Putting these two in the same room feels irresponsible. Maybe even dangerous.

Aemond takes himself (painfully) seriously, and Villanelle treats violence like a hobby, so this would be one of the most unhinged dynamics possible.

Villanelle would spend the entire fic trying to annoy him for her own entertainment, and Aemond would become increasingly confused by her actions. She’s a murderous woman who isn’t afraid of him at all: he’s going to lose it.

Somewhere in the middle of all this, they’d probably develop a weird mutual respect which is built entirely on the fact that they’re both extremely dramatic.

Also think of the edits – CINEMA.

4. Carmy Berzatto (The Bear) & Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds)

Ball of anxiety meets ball of anxiety – what could possibly go wrong?

Carmy and Spencer are both deeply intelligent men who are operating at stress levels so high that they’re a concern to everyone around them. Putting them together would mean every conversation becomes either emotionally devastating or so hyper-specific that nobody else understands what’s happening.

Picture it: hurt/comfort, burnout, emotional repression, found family. All those suffocating stressy vibes.

And yes, I would be locked in.

5. Wednesday Addams (Wednesday) & Louis de Pointe du Lac (Interview with the Vampire)

The dark gothic energy here would be so overwhelming.

Wednesday would find Louis fascinating for about three minutes before deciding that he’s too much drama. On the other hand, Louis would be deeply unsettled by a teenage girl who revels in centuries of vampire trauma with complete emotional indifference.

The conversations would somehow be both deeply philosophical and incredibly passive aggressive.

They’d both heavily judge each other’s love lives (Louis is king of the birds, by the way) and they’d be fighting for their lives to prove they are right.

Aesthetically? Don’t even get me started. The dark romanticism would be SO good.
